Changes to the MCP server. The server is in beta: tools and their arguments may change between versions. Open API changes are listed in the Open API changelog.

September 2026

• Public beta. One MCP server per company at /mcp, enabled per company by Monotree
• Sign in with a Monotree account (OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and automatic client registration) for admins, editors and managers, or authenticate with an Open API token. Create MCP token on the AI Connectors tab creates a token with the right scopes
• 46 tools across content, people, communication, training, forms, insights and media, plus the monotree://locales and monotree://org-structure resources
• Write tools accept an optional locale; new content defaults to the company's content language, additions to the language of the item they extend
• Connected clients are listed and can be disconnected under Open API → AI Connectors; every call is logged with client attribution
